Simple guidelines to keep your pieces beautiful.
Shell Care
We're all about embracing the organic texture, shape, and structure of the remarkably durable pistachio shell. To this end, all products are either uncoated or treated with a nontoxic, natural varnish that is water-resistant but not 100% waterproof. So for all TACHIO products, please:
- Remove before swimming, showering, or bathing.
- Apply perfumes, hairsprays, lotions, and cosmetics before putting on your TACHIO pieces.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excess humidity.
Metal Care
- 316L Surgical Steel: This metal is non-tarnishing, rust-proof, and hypoallergenic. Simply wipe with a microfiber or cotton cloth if needed.
- Gold-Plated 316L Surgical Steel: Avoid abrasive chemical polishing cloths, hand sanitizers, and swimming pools to protect the gold finish. Gently wipe with a soft microfiber or cotton cloth if needed.
- Solid .925 Sterling Silver: Avoid liquid dip cleaners. Store with an anti-tarnish strip to slow natural oxidation. Gently polish with a soft silver polishing cloth to restore shine.
Textile Care
- Cleaning: Spot clean fabric areas first. If necessary, hand-wash gently and briefly in cool water with delicate detergent. Do not machine wash or wring. Do not dry clean.
- Drying & Pressing: Lay flat to dry on a clean towel. Steam or iron unshelled fabric on low heat—never apply a steamer or hot iron directly to shell details.
